Welcome to the world little Miss 'A'!! This one is dear to my heart since it's my life-long friend from college's first grand daughter!! (which the idea of a her being a grandmother freaks me out but she did start having children on the young side for sure!!!) :)

After a power driving trip to Ohio to photograph this little angel, I am happy to share these wonderful images.....what a sweet and super content little angel she is!!! Love her!!! Her mom and dad are lucky to have such a sweet little thing!! Hugs!!!

Mr. 'B' is fresh and brand new here on earth and such a handsome little guy!!! Of course, he came to earth with opinions already, too!!! He doesn't seem to like hats and didn't appreciate me constantly trying to put the cutest little hats on his head!! Noooooooooooooooo....he wanted nothing to do with those!!! The weather looked threatening every minute up to our shoot at the park yesterday but YAY the weatherman was correct and the rain held off so that we had amazing light for our session!!! It was such a great time and I thank mom for making the trip to see me each time! She's a trooper to drive all the way from where she drives!!! :)

Wow, this gorgeous fall weather is the most wonderful thing ever!!!! To be able to get out and enjoy the fall colors, have family photos taken and not freeze our patooties off is the awesome! Kristine had waited a whole year for this session since last year we had to cancel and weren't able to reschedule before the colors were gone so this was extra special for us to get together!! Their little 'T' is the sweetest little guy in the world! I just loved working with him....quite the calm little man! I could have just squeezed him in between ever shot!!!!

Rebecca and Zach are the sweetest couple! I first met them when they came up from North Carolina for their engagement shoot. I work with Beth Eggert of Beth Eggert Photography on weddings and we had the best time hanging out with them at the George George Memorial Park and they were so laid back and easy going. We just knew that their wedding would be spectacular! They were married at the Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn and their reception was over at the Dearborn Inn...all the makings of an absolutely amazingly storybook wedding day! Here are a few of my first sneak peeks....there are bound to be more as I am in love with so very many images!!!!! LOL

Geraldine & Jason had such a beautiful day Saturday for their wedding! Gorgeous weather, tons of love in the air, the most gorgeous setting and close friends and family to share their joy with. Together Beth Eggert, of Beth Eggert Photography, and I photographed their special day and we had such a blast doing it! It made me want to go home and have a party with my closest friends and family!! Everything was so personalized from the greeting sign at the driveway to the generational family wedding pictures hanging in the trees to the wedding cake topper that was Geraldine's grandparents wedding topper! Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous 6 day old baby girl!! Isn't she stinkin' adorable??!! lol I had the best time playing 'dress up' with her! She was so sweet to be around. Here are a few of my favorites..it was so hard to just pick a few..so many were so wonderful because we did these at her home and there were so many wonderful personalized items in the images that had such sentimental value. Such as the giraffe image...her grandfather passed away after he had started carving this wonderful giraffe and a friend finished it for them so she would have it in her room while she is growing up. I looooooooved this photoshoot!

Wow! Ok, we are finally all healthy again....first the flu, then strep throat for me and of course, it wouldn't be complete without strep throat for my youngest as well! Glad THAT'S over!! We are back in the routine of things and happy that we are headed towards spring. Although we've had some really serious winter weather this week, we can always keep in mind how much more sunlight we currently have and that is a sure fire sign that better (and warmer) days are ahead of us!! Woo Hoo!!

Well, we came home Friday night to find that my son had a 103 degree temperature! Yikes, how awful! After a special doctor visit on Saturday, btw, LOVE Pediatric Health Care in Sterling Heights, they are the most caring group of doctors I've ever been introduced to. Not only do they have young families themselves so they are immersed in the same issues I am but they also have done a fantastic job of finding a rare genetic issue with my son at a normal annual visit and their follow up has been outstanding. Ok...enough of going on and on about them...you can see how loyal I am to this practice!! So, needless to say Griffin has the nasty flu and Peyton was a day behind him...so I've played nurse to the kids all weekend and am hoping their recovery is a short one as they are home with me today still. Hoping for a mid-week return...it's so pitiful to see them so sick.

I hope your Monday is going well, I will be sharing some recent sessions shortly, as soon as I get them down for a nap!! lol

Wow, I'm happy this morning because I LOVE snow and we have a bunch of it! We took the kids sledding yesterday and even the dog came with us!! We had the best time ever!! Even though my 5 year old daughter didn't want me going down the hill with her because I kept my feet out and slowed us down!!!! LOL!! Heck...I didn't want anything to break....it was a super steep hill!!!!! We have even more snow on the way so I will be feeling like a kid again excited to have a snow storm and be able to hang out and play like I used to!!!

Ok, things are moving fast and crazy but just wanted to make sure I mentioned to everybody that I'm in Texas right now at ImagingUSA learning how to be a better photographer and find out what wonderful new and exciting products are available!! I plan on coming home and sharing more about the great things that you will want to know are available that will allow you to display images in unique ways of the ones that are the dearest in your life.

I'm super exhausted and come home on Wednesday! Not looking forward to the long plane ride or the colder weather but sure am excited to see my family, friends and customers!!!

Wow, what can I say about my session with Austin? So many unexpected wonderful things came about at this sesssion! It started out at the old rusted truck as planned but everything went crazy good after that! It helped that we unexpectedly got to photograph him with this awesome bumble bee camero! Then after we went into the studio for some shots, we used Austin's guitar and then a bunch of other guitars of my brother's (who is also a photographer!). I had a blast and I think Austin enjoyed the night as well! Here are a few of the sneak peeks for him and his family!

What a handsome and sweet little angel this guy was!! Since I was out-of-town when I shot this session, we used the natural light that was coming in the windows of his wonderful little nursery! I think it's so sweet to have images done at home in your baby's nursery with all their special things around them...there's something extra special about the emotion that comes out of these images. It's so nice to get out of the studio once in a while for newborn images! Here's a few of my favorites for mom and dad to check out!!!

I was only so super sad that it ended unexpectedly when the photographer (yes.....me....) fell into a groundhog hole and broke my ankle! So....not your every day ordinary bikes! My very dear friend, Gary, let me experiment with photographing his bike and try new techniques! He's an extremely accomplished rider and offers motorcycle skills training classes through his business Ride Like A Pro Great Lakes. If you ride or are planning on making a purchase in the future, you should check out his site and his business. He's teaches what you need to know for when you're on the road. I could go on and on all day but will stop at this point and share some images from our first shoot together. There will be more soon as we only did the white Harley...next up will be the black! I can't wait!

Haley drove a long way for us to get some fun shots for her senior photos!!! It's such a dream to have access to 100 acres of farm land with antique trucks, wheat fields, woods and old barns!! Oh my gosh...what a fun time we had with "M"' at her one year portrait session!!! She's such a happy girl and let us change outfits many times!!! I am so excited to let everbody in on the secret that I've been gathering special things to create a Limited Edition Fairy Session!!! You will be hearing more about this in the coming weeks but wanted to give you a heads up on it. It will only be offered for a few select dates and they will be mini-sessions so it won't take the normal hour to hour and a half that full sessions take! Let me know if you are interested by e-mailing me or adding a comment here. Your feedback will help me decide how many dates to keep open for this!

I will also be doing a similar limited edition time offer on a 'Day at the Beach' theme!! Using a gigantic sea shell, real sand, a child's adirondack chair and beautiful shells and pearls!! Great for any child 6 and under for sure!

Well, normally, I put my customer's sneak peeks on here but wanted to share a bit about our family and today was the perfect day to use! We, like everyone else in Michigan, thought a trip to the zoo would be a great idea since the weather was supposed to be 77 degrees for a change! After getting through the craziest parking situations ever....we got in and had such a wonderful time! Here are some shots from the day...everything from the kids playing in their slurpees, to the polar bear exhibit to the coolest prairie dog exhibit where they get to get up close and personal via their very own plastic tube to look through!!! They had a blast!!! I hope you did to with whatever you did today and Happy Easter to everyone this weekend!
